As physiotherapists we focus first and foremost on resolving pain and restoring strength, movement and function.

The sooner the treatment of an injury or condition begins, the better. Early intervention prevents a condition from becoming chronic, keeps muscle and other soft tissue structures from weakening through disuse, speeds healing and above all, increases the chances of full recovery.

Starting August 2011, British Columbians injured on the job will have direct access to physiotherapy treatments. WorkSafeBC has agreed that patients no longer require a doctor's referral in order to seek the care of a physiotherapist. This is welcome news for British Columbians. Unfortunately, injuries happen in the workplace. Whether due to carrying or lifting a heavy object or other cause, the ability to book an appointment directly with a physiotherapist saves time and ensures that British Columbians get on the road to recovery
